Stephenson, JoshJosh Stephenson / Web Editor and multimedia journalist

Josh has worked in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Bolivia before coming to the Herald in 2007. His career has focused on daily news photography covering many international stories. A native New Mexican, Josh spent six years as a staff photographer at the Albuquerque Journal before freelancing in Latin America. His photography has won numerous awards and has been published in National Geographic, Newsweek, USNews & World Report, USA Today, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Maxim International, among other newspapers and magazines around the world.

Philip Jones has been designing and programming websites professionally for the last 5 years. He makes all changes and performs all maintenance at durangoherald.com and insideoutsidemag.com. With his vast experience in web site design/programming and a BS in Computer Science, he is equipped with the skills to build the most complex of web sites. He is a master of Flash, PHP, ASP .NET, CSS and MySQL, with more then 3 years professional experience with these technologies.

Shaun Stanley / Multimedia Journalist

Shaun is a veteran Photojournalist with over twenty years of story telling experience. Professional achievements include over 17 years as a senior Photojournalist for The Denver Post where he covered the Durango and Four Corners areas exclusively for six years and included coverage of the infamous Missionary Ridge Fire.  Shaun’s photography has taken him through twenty two countries including extensive work throughout the Middle East and Africa. From the flight deck of the USS Enterprise to war torn southern Sudan, Shaun’s works have been sought after by international aid agencies and media outlets worldwide. Additional professional experience includes being selected as the Chief Videographer for The Army National Guard and positions for daily newspapers in North Carolina, Georgia and south Florida.  Shaun is a father of a five year old son and is an avid skier and fly fisherman.
