Remarkable youth, helping hands
If you get a chance, please check out this story I did on a remarkable local Navajo youth for a series called Helping Hands about local non-profits and people they have helped (thanks, Audrey, for the wonderful suggestion!).
It really nurtured my soul to see how profoundly lives can be changed through just a little bit of generosity and aid. And also how grateful and humbled my subjects were for having been the recipients of such unexpected help.
Check tomorrow’s paper for a Helping Hands story on a teen mom who is headed to nursing school and Sunday’s paper for a story about a dad who gave up drugs to raise his son as a single parent.
